Playing as a dinosaur in Roblox Dinosaur Hunter by HALFBYTE is a different skill set from soldier gunplay. Dinosaurs rely on melee attacks, speed, and map knowledge to close distance before soldiers land headshots. This guide covers movement, primary and secondary attacks, species-specific techniques, and control differences between PC and mobile for every dinosaur from Velociraptor to Godzilla.

Basic Dinosaur Movement

• W / A / S / D or joystick — Move in all directions. Speed varies by species.
• Space / Jump button — Leap over low obstacles and initiate pounce attacks.
• Shift / Sprint — Burst speed for closing gaps. Velociraptor and Carnotaurus excel here.
• Mouse / camera drag — Look around and steer during charges.
• Crouch (if available) — Lower profile behind Swamp foliage or Museum exhibits.

Never run in a straight line across Hills open ground against rocket launcher teams. Zigzag approaching soldiers, use map geometry for cover, and attack from blind angles on Temple corridors and City alleys.

Attack Controls

• Left click / primary attack button — Bite or claw strike. Main damage source.
• Right click / secondary attack — Heavy attack or special animation depending on species.
• Combo timing — Chain bites immediately after the first hit registers for maximum DPS.
• Roar (if bound) — Audio cue; may have minor gameplay effect on some servers.

Damage output scales with dinosaur tier. Hydra deals the highest burst damage when using the head-wiggle technique — rapidly alternate camera direction while clicking to activate multiple head strikes. T-Rex and Indominus Rex trade speed for devastating single bites that delete isolated soldiers.

Species-Specific Control Tips

• Velociraptor — Hit-and-run bites. Attack, retreat, re-engage from a new angle.
• Spinosaurus — Balanced chase patterns. Do not overcommit on Hills open fields.
• T-Rex — Corner soldiers in Facility rooms before they kite to the bridge.
• Indominus Rex — Use speed 7 to flank sniper positions on Volcano ridges.
• Hydra — Master head-wiggle for triple-head damage output.
• Godzilla — Slow but unstoppable. Small dinos can hide under its legs for protection.

PC vs Mobile Dinosaur Play

Dinosaurs are generally easier on mobile than soldiers because melee requires less precision than sniping. Mobile Hydra players should practice head-wiggle with deliberate thumb swipes. PC players benefit from mouse camera speed for quick 180-degree ambush turns on Museum galleries. Both platforms share identical attack buttons once in a match.
