How to Play Dinosaur Hunter — Beginner Guide

Roblox Dinosaur Hunter by HALFBYTE — known as Dino Hunters in the community — is an asymmetric team game where soldiers battle dinosaurs across seven maps and three game modes. This beginner guide covers everything from your first spawn to earning credits, choosing dinosaurs, and winning Hunt mode rounds.

Getting Started

1. Launch Dinosaur Hunter by HALFBYTE from Roblox.
2. Redeem codes Beta and DHcredits on the lobby Codes menu for free credits.
3. Choose Hunt mode on Facility for your first matches — shortest rounds.
4. Learn controls for your platform before competitive play.
5. Spend first credits on Velociraptor (30) or save for Spinosaurus (55).

Understanding Teams and Roles

Soldiers use guns — from Pistol to Rocket Launcher — to eliminate dinosaurs before time expires. Dinosaurs use melee attacks to kill soldiers or survive until the round ends. Each team requires different skills: soldiers need aim and positioning; dinosaurs need map knowledge and ambush timing. You will play both teams across sessions.

Three Game Modes

• Hunt Mode — Core round-based soldiers vs dinosaurs. Best for credit farming.
• Survival Mode — Longer matches with sustained pressure and defensive holds.
• Dino War — Large-scale battles for end-game dinosaur testing.

Seven Maps to Learn

Start on Facility (small, fast), then expand to Temple and Museum for interior combat, Swamp for stealth, City for urban flanks, Volcano and Hills for elevation and sniping. Each map changes which dinosaurs and weapons perform best.
